A Critique of a Short Story " The Centipede" by Iris Baja

The Centipede,a short story which was written by Rony V. Diaz ,published in 1952.Its all about Eddie's sister shows harshness over complaining about the things Eddie does .All started when Eddie seeing his sister Delia beating with his dog Biryuk .Eddie wanted to stop his sister but he couldn't do it. He just want the dog free from the cruelty hand of his sister ,but he have no power ,nor energy to do ,so Eddie and Delia was a rival to each other. Delia was 8 years old when Eddie was born when their mother died.It could be the biggest reason why she hated her brother since then. She don't love him she blame Eddie why their mother died.In additional to that, is they only have is their father. She fell useless and jealous for the attention his father given to Eddie, this must be the reason why she get rid everything what her brother loves. He loves animals and insect while Delia hates them. Even though,Eddie was the younger one he always open his mind, and think of his sister's health and happiness(Delia have a heart disease). He tried to control himself even though the act of his sister is below the belt. Eddie found out that Delia stabbed the dog's eye ,he felt so much anger that he can't kept his temper anymore .He got the opportunity to revenge when Berto (The house helper)gave him a centipede .He trapped the centipede in a handkerchief ,he moved inside their house silently ,while his sister was sewing a white cloth.Without a second though ,he threw the centipede on his sister's lap.Delia fall down and cried with pain .Eddie regretted it but ,its too late ,he has, nothing to do with it. Well I can't blame Delia why she really hated Eddie ,she is a child too ,she need love and care from her parents ,but she didn't feel the way it is.I hate their father for having a favoritism to his children ,he's so unfair.I don't like the ending part when Eddie took revenge ,so he regretted at all .I fell Delia ,and the father must need to find a way to have their family love each other and commit happiness.
